Aluminium fluoride anhydrous (AlF₃, CAS 7784‑18‑1) is a white, odorless, crystalline inorganic compound with a molecular weight of 83.98 g/mol. It is also known by synonyms such as aluminum trifluoride, trifluoroaluminum. It is widely used in aluminum metallurgy as a flux to lower the melting point of alumina during electrolytic smelting. Beyond metallurgy, aluminium fluoride finds application in ceramics, glass manufacturing, and as a catalyst in organic synthesis.

Causes severe irritation and burns. May be harmful if swallowed. Avoid breathing vapor or dust. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothes. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep container closed.
